Each year ASLC assists over 900 families through the Shepherd’s Warehouse Ministry. This program helps meet special needs for food. For information call (480) 945-5250.
In the last 23 years, rules and regulations for operating a Food Pantry have changed yearly. We want to take this opportunity to let you know about some of these changes. Basically, we are very restricted to the types of food containers that may be reused. Egg cartons and plastic tubs with lids are still OK.
We can no longer re-use cans, Styrofoam containers, glass bottles, or clear plastic containers that are not dishwasher proof. The items that we try to provide to families the most, are items that they can not buy with Food Stamps but are essential to life in the United States:
Basic Hygiene: soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, disposable razors, shaving cream, shampoo, deodorant. Basic Cleaning Supplies: dish soap and laundry detergent. Paper Goods: Toilet Paper, Kleenex, and paper towels. Think about life today without toilet paper….and always peanut butter and jelly.
Thank you for everything you have done to contribute to this vital ministry for our neighbors in need.
Please call (480) 945-5250 and leave your name and phone number … you will be called back to set up an appointment for a food box.
